FIBROID RESECTION

If you are a woman over 40 years of age, there is a 50% chance that you may be affected by fibroids. They are bumpy, irregular growths in the muscular layer of the uterus, and are also known as Myomas and Leimyomas. They vary in size, number, and location. Fibroids cause pelvic pain, infertility, pelvic pressure, bleeding, frequent urination, constipation and Uterine Cancer. Dr. Sorkin can diagnose the fibroids by physical exam, ultrasound, or MRI imaging. Once the number and locations are determined, Dr. Sorkin can treat them medically or surgically.
